I was registered Unaffiliated 42 years, my entire voting life. But I understand that if you want to be heard; if you want the opportunity to elected office in Maryland’s political environment where you do real good for the good of the people, you have to align with the party you most identify with. For me that’s the Democratic Party.
My independence was, and still is, rooted in my core belief that you cannot serve the people and the Party at the same time. ‘Party” interests should never come before the interests of the people.

Who is Nimrod Westcott V
Nimrod Westcott V isn’t a career politician—he is a dedicated public servant shaped by real-world challenges and driven by a deep belief in duty, family, and community. Born and raised in Maryland, Nimrod has called Arbutus home for 25 years, rooted in the same values of hard work and integrity that he brings to every role he takes on.
An honorably discharged Veteran of the United States Armed Forces, Nimrod understands the true meaning of sacrifice and leadership. That same commitment to service defined his professional career as a Teamster for 32 years, where he balanced decades of logistics and operations at UPS (1991–2024) and Hertz North America (2014–2024). Today, he continues to lead as a Field Training Coordinator for CVS, ensuring the next generation of workers has the tools they need to succeed.
Beyond his professional life, Nimrod’s heart belongs to his family and his community. Married to Cassandra, he is the proud father of four: Brittany, Neal, Nim VI, and his late daughter, Karyna, whose memory remains a guiding light in his life. Whether he was volunteering with the Maryland Special Olympics or standing up for his fellow workers, Nimrod has always led with heart and courage. With a lifetime of experience as a veteran, a retiree, and a mentor, Nimrod Westcott V is ready to bring bold, people-first solutions to the forefront of public service.
